This threshold can be calculated in two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Either the average salary earned during the last year of work before your disability, up to 1.5 times the annual Social Security ceiling (i.e., \u20ac72,090 in 2026);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or the average annual salary of your ten best years of work prior to the disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This threshold represents the overall limit not to be exceeded when combining your disability pension with professional income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the total of your professional income and pension exceeds the selected reference threshold, the disability pension is reduced by half of the excess amount.<br>It is therefore not automatically canceled but reduced proportionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For insured persons working in salaried employment, the Social Security organization examines income over a rolling twelve-month reference period ending two months before the control date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend consulting the page of our partner dedicated to disability in France for more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/accueil\/salaries\/belgique-france\/protection-sociale-en-france\/linvalidite-en-france-pour-les-frontaliers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">L&#8217;invalidit\u00e9 en France pour les frontaliers &#8211; Frontaliers Grand Est<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\">Combining a German disability pension with salaried employment<\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Recipients of a partial disability pension can combine it with professional activity, provided certain conditions are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before starting or expanding their work, they must inform their pension insurance institution about the nature of the employment, its duration, and the expected income, as this may be taken into account when calculating the pension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid any pension reduction, income from professional activity must not exceed the following annual limits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Total incapacity to work: \u20ac20,763.75 maximum in 2026;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partial incapacity to work: \u20ac41,527.50 maximum in 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cases, notably for partial disability pensions, a higher individual limit may apply based on the highest earnings received during the 15 years preceding the onset of incapacity for work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2024, recipients also have the possibility of a trial work period, allowing them to test returning to professional activity without jeopardizing their pension rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite you to consult our partner\u2019s page on disability in Germany for more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/accueil\/salaries\/france-allemagne\/protection-sociale-en-allemagne\/linvalidite-en-allemagne-pour-les-frontaliers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">L&#8217;invalidit\u00e9 en Allemagne pour les frontaliers<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\"><strong>Combining a Belgian disability pension with salaried employment<\/strong><\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>It is possible to combine your disability benefits with paid employment, under certain conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you return to adapted work as a salaried employee, the amount of your basic allowance is adjusted based on your workload or percentage of employment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No reduction is applied if the adapted work does not exceed 1\/5 of full-time (20%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A proportional reduction applies if the adapted work exceeds 1\/5 of full-time, based on the average number of weekly hours exceeding this threshold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Before resuming adapted work, you must declare this return and obtain authorization from the advisory doctor of your mutual insurance at the latest on the working day preceding the start of the contract.
