Good news: some cross-border workers are indeed eligible to benefit from it to supplement their income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, you\u2019ll find all the key information you need to know if you qualify and how to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\">Eligibility Criteria for Receiving the Activity Bonus<\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>To be eligible for the activity bonus as a cross-border worker, you must meet the following cumulative conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be 18 years of age or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be French, a citizen of the European Economic Area or Switzerland, or hold a valid residence permit for at least 5 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage in a professional activity (employee, self-employed, civil servant) or receive compensation under partial\/technical unemployment in France.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have modest household income.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reside in France in a stable and regular manner, for at least 9 months of the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For cross-border workers, the fact that your employment contract is signed abroad and that your professional activity takes place there does <strong>not<\/strong> affect your eligibility for the activity bonus. What matters for calculating this bonus are the <strong>income earned abroad<\/strong>, which you must declare every three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, there is no issue if your taxes and social contributions are paid to a foreign system: this does not affect your eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you live abroad, you can also receive the activity bonus provided you have spent less than 3 months outside France during the calendar year. If your stay abroad exceeds 3 months, you can receive the activity bonus only for the full months spent in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain specific situations are subject to particular conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workers temporarily posted to France are not eligible for the activity bonus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For students or apprentices, the net monthly work income must exceed \u20ac1,104.25 (2025 amount) to qualify for the bonus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\">The Amount of the Activity Bonus<\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>The amount of your activity bonus depends on several factors, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The amount of your income and the total income of your household.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The composition of your household.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Income earned abroad from employment in a neighboring country is taken into account when calculating your income and that of your household.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For all eligible cross-border workers, the <strong>basic flat-rate amount<\/strong> of the activity bonus is \u20ac633.21 (in 2025) for a single person without dependent children. This amount can be increased depending on the factors mentioned above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, note that the CAF provides an <strong>online simulator<\/strong> that allows cross-border workers to estimate their potential activity bonus: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwd.caf.fr\/wps\/portal\/caffr\/simulateurpa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/wwwd.caf.fr\/wps\/portal\/caffr\/simulateurpa\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\">How to Apply for the Activity Bonus<\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>If you are a cross-border worker eligible for the activity bonus and already receive benefits, you can submit your application <strong>directly online<\/strong> on the CAF website: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caf.fr\/redirect\/s\/Redirect?page=monCompteFormulairePrimeDActivite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.caf.fr\/redirect\/s\/Redirect?page=monCompteFormulairePrimeDActivite<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not yet a beneficiary, you will first need to create your <strong>\u201cMon Compte\u201d space<\/strong> via the <strong>Aides et d\u00e9marches &gt; Mes d\u00e9marches<\/strong> section when submitting your benefit application. This step is mandatory, and you will be guided throughout the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your application is approved, you will receive an <strong>allocation notification<\/strong> specifying the amount of the bonus you will receive.
