Since September 1, 2025, French doctors are required to use new templates for sick leave certificates. These are electronic, but a new secure paper form is also available. Cross-border workers, your general practitioner may be based in France and can issue your sick leave. Here are the procedures depending on the country where you work, but be careful: the old form must no longer be used, even if you work abroad!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you work in Luxembourg (CNS)<\/p><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

\n

You must submit the new secured Cerfa form (paper version) directly to the CNS within 3 working days (online or by post).<\/strong> The CNS now only accepts the new secured Cerfa forms for processing sick leave certificates issued in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Send the new secured Cerfa paper form to your Belgian health insurance fund (mutualit\u00e9<\/em>) and to your employer. If you work in Switzerland (loss of earnings insurance or health insurance fund)<\/p><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

Send the secured Cerfa paper form directly to your employer and to the organization that pays the allowance (loss of earnings insurance \/ health insurance fund).
