Here are the essentials, and don&#8217;t forget to contact your tax office if you are in any doubt about your tax situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\"><strong><strong>1. You are a frontier worker for tax purposes in Germany<\/strong><\/strong><\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>If you meet the conditions (see https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/accueil\/salaries\/france-allemagne\/fiscalite\/fiscalite-des-frontaliers-en-allemagne\/), <strong>your income will still be taxed in France.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can deduct Social Security contributions from your gross salary plus benefits in kind if you receive any.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the basis of your Lohnsteuerbescheinigung, this should correspond to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Point 3 for the basic gross amount, less<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Points 25, 26, 27 (all your compulsory social s<strong>ecurity contributions for sickness, dependency, unemployment and retirement<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Exemple of a wage tax certificate :<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-21.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48718\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be declared in box 1AG (or the following box)<\/strong> of your 2042 tax return (Earnings received abroad and taxable in France).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-4.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48676\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to attach form <strong>2047 <\/strong>(or the corresponding boxes online) to detail the income received in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-5.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48678\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\"><strong>2. You work in Germany but do not qualify as a cross-border commuter for tax purposes<\/strong><\/p><svg viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" fill=\"none\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"accordion-top__icon\"><path d=\"M3 12L21 12M21 12L12.5 3.5M21 12L12.5 20.5\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\"><\/path><\/svg><\/div><div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>Here, the tax is <strong>paid in Germany<\/strong>, but you must declare them in France as a French tax resident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 You benefit from a<strong> tax credit equal to the French tax.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc <strong>To declare:<\/strong> Cross-border commuters report on forms 2042 and 2047the amount of private-sector wages (all remuneration, including benefits in kind from Germany <strong>less social security contributions but not less German tax<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2042 <\/strong>AF (or later) and 8TK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-6.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48680\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-7.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48682\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2047 <\/strong>box 6: to defer German salaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/frontaliers-grandest.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/image-8.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48684\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-eures-plugin-accordion-block\"><div class=\"accordion-top\"><p class=\"accordion-title\"><strong>3.
