The CRIJ Grand Est, through Info Jeunes Grand Est, has been offering for a few months a new tool to support young people’s international mobility projects: the #TravelMates network.
This system is based on a simple and powerful principle:
👉 young people who have already lived abroad share their experiences with those preparing to go.
Going abroad (studies, internship, job, volunteering, ESC…) often raises many practical questions: housing, transport, administrative procedures, cost of living, integration, cultural adaptation… Beyond official information, future travelers also need reassurance and the chance to talk to someone who has already been through it.
#TravelMates allows:
- young people preparing to go abroad to get practical, realistic, and personalized advice;
- young people returning from abroad to highlight their experience by becoming mentors themselves.
